Pain Relief For Arthritis
September 25th, 2009    Subscribe To Our FeedBecause arthritis is so widespread now, it gets a large amount of attention from each one of us - from the typical person to the health pro. Some pros believe that arthritis was first introduced by a strain of pathogen some two centuries ago. But then, other experts have found definitive evidence of arthritis in ancient Egyptian mummies. But whether it’s two centuries or 4 millennia, arthritis does seem to be age-related. We are clearly more prone to have it the older we get. And we have thus come to regard arthritis as a degenerative illness.
But that should by no means mean that arthritis is inescapable. ‘But why should we have to take natural hormone creams and supplements?’ my clients often ask. ‘Our ancestors didn’t take them, and arthritis wasn’t almost as abundant in times past.’ The straightforward fact is, the majority of our ancestors didn’t live to the ripe, old, healthy ages we do nowadays. They died younger and were worn out earlier - while we {are going|go} on {golfing|playing golf|going golfing} and tennis into our 70s and beyond. We live longer now, and want to enjoy ourselves more. So why suffer - unnecessarily - the painful joints and low energy of arthritis?
Sure arthritis is a fact, but we needn’t resign ourselves to it. By being smart we can enjoy health. From my clientele and personal experience I have learned four easy paths to find pain relief for arthritis :
One. Soothex : it is a base of olive oil that’s’s tinged with anti inflammatory herbs. Rub Soothex topically wherever you have agony and it takes the pain away, decreases swelling, and without delay introduces healing oxygen to the joints and tissues. Soothex has no side effects and you may use it as frequently as you wish.
Two. Oil of Oregano : This herbal healer works on the same guidelines as Soothex, but more softly. But it also is a completely natural antibiotic, and is antiviral and antifungal, and gives a great boost to the immune reaction. With such intense curative properties, both Soothex and Oil of Oregano are miles away from commercial products that frequently offer mere numbing and heating effects.
Three. Natural progesterone creams - These creams - like Prosperin for women and Prosperon for men - naturally balance the hormones whose imbalance is the origin of so many tensions and bad sensations that will plague us in our middle age and senior years.
4. A natural healthful diet with tons of veggies and not too much animal protein. This can promote arthritis treatments the natural way. And if you like red meats then go organic - you’ll be cutting out a lot of synthetic animal hormones that may play havoc with your wellbeing and well-being.
Did you read arthritis pain relief and soft drinks? And did you wonder, as I did : Could this possibly be true?
The answer, it turns out, is both perhaps. If you have got a serious case of arthritis and don’t improve your diet and lifestyle, a six-| 6 pack of soft drinks might give you some relief from arthritis - but just briefly. This will occur because the phosphate in the soda can melt some of the calcium deposits in your joints, which are the source of your arthritis discomfort and swelling. Indeed, what we call’arthritis’ is actually an internal infection and inflammation.
But if you then take up drinking soft drinks as a regimen to keep your arthritis in check, it’ll melt the calcium in your bones and put you on the inside track to osteoporosis. A losing proposition. Some suggest trying a 6 pack over the course of a couple of hours, to determine if your discomfort is reduced. If you try this, later please stop with the sodas and take up with healthy, natural foods. This way the vitamins and minerals in your food will be well soaked up, and won’t form deposits that congest your joints with the blockage and pain we call arthritis. For improved abdominal absorption of nutrient elements you should also drink kefir and / or take acidophilus.
Sure - arthritis is a deteriorative disease, but it can be cured or dramatically reduced if you’ve got the data, persistence, and willingness to modify your way of life. I have never quite understood why many people appear unwilling to give up our suffering. It seems some just are not prepared for it yet. Are you?
Let Soothex jump-start the hope that crops up when discomfort actually decreases, movement comes easily again, and your energy starts to flow. If you follow through with a natural diet, you can definitely enjoy your long life more. What else could we wish for?

Kroger and additional pharmacies are considering meeting this price. Be alert that not all generic medication are obtainable through these programs and a few neighboring pharmacies have been offering the prescription medicine, on the lists, at a comparable charge. Some critics say that this pricing is a “bait and switch” scheme for the reason that many of the medicines on the lists are older generics that are hardly ever used. For instance, Target hopes people who can’t obtain their prescription drugs for $4.00 possibly will buy it at the higher charge then shop at the store before leaving.

When You’re Hurting, What Arthritis Pain Medication Do You Use?
September 22nd, 2009    Subscribe To Our FeedThere are quite a few options available for arthritis pain relief medications. However you must know what you’re doing before you begin popping pills, so the first thing to do is pay a visit to your health care provider before beginning to take arthritis pain medication. Prolonged intake of most pain killers can cause negative effects in an individual, so it is in your best interests that you minimize the use of pain-relievers for arthritis relief as much as possible.
Most doctors will recommend that you first try an over the counter NSAID for arthritis pain relief. If you have mild arthritis, non-prescription pain relief medication such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen can provide you satisfactory pain relief. If your arthritis pain isn’t ongoing, this could be the best choice for you.
In addition, several different topical creams are out there to help with arthritis pain and are particularly useful for osteoarthritis treatment. Generally, topical creams will help to minimize the pain from arthritis by going through the skin and deep into the joints. Consider Ben Gay if you have a mild case that you don’t need a prescription in order to treat. Creams are wonderful since they can be used as many times in a day as needed since the risk of overuse is minimal. This is unlike orally ingested medication where the risk of overdose is much greater. Another advantage is that the pain relief that topical creams deliver is instant and they can be used alongside oral pain medication. Before you mix any drugs, though, consult your doctor first.
Another choice you might want to think about utilizing for arthritis pain medication is corticosteroids, which contain both anti-inflammatory and immunoregulatory properties. These drugs can be administered through the mouth or in shot form. Or your physician may give you Methotrexate, even though this is a less widely used option than are the other two. If you find that none of the other treatment methods are working for you, your physician might turn to this medication.
Whatever over the counter arthritis pain relief medicine you make use of to get some relief, you will need to be certain that you speak with your physician before you take it. There are some individuals who, due to liver issues, can’t take prescription or non-prescription pain medicine. Be sure to check that all of your medications are okay to take together in order to avoid any ill effects to your health. Your health care provider can offer you valuable advice in determining how to handle your pain.

THE SYMPTOMS OF GOUT
September 22nd, 2009    Subscribe To Our FeedGout is mainly caused by the accumulation of uric acid (waste product that is collected and eliminated by the kidneys through urine) inside the body. The surplus of uric acid THE MAIN SYMPTOMS OF GOUT are signs that uric acid is crystallizing and are depositing in different parts of the body. One of the most disturbing symptoms of gout is the inflammation of soft tissue. Sometimes, the crystallized uric acid forms tophi, painful lumps under the skin. Sometimes, tophi may even tare up the skin, causing infections.
Smoking and the consumption of alcohol are considered to be factors that support and aggravate gout symptoms. Alcohol interferes with the normal renal activity, causing the kidneys to release less uric acid through urine, while smoking seriously damages arteries, affects blood circulation and slows down the process of healing. When suffering from gout, it is very important to reduce these factors of risk, as they only cause damage to the body.
There are a few symptoms of gout that always occur. Many times it can be difficult to diagnosis gout due to the similarity of other illnesses. Gout is a type of arthritis and mainly affects the joints.
The fastest ways to relieve your symptoms of gout are to treat them immediately. The longer the gout is left untreated the longer it may remain. Some common treatments include drinking copious amounts of water to dilute the uric acid in the blood, taking ibuprofen to treat the pain, and taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, also known as NSAIDs.
Some other more minor symptoms of gout include a slight fever, nausea and loss of appetite.
If you take pain killers it is important to stay away from aspirin as this does not help gout but will increase the levels of uric acid in the blood.
A natural remedy, without medication, is to monitor your diet and avoid specific foods. Certain foods contain high levels of purines. Purines are broken down in the body and become uric acid
In order to properly diagnosis gout your doctor may need to perform certain tests including a full medical history, joint fluid test and blood test.
Ignoring the symptoms of gout can have some serious implications as it can lead to kidney and joint damage. Gout occurs because of an increase in uric acid in the blood stream. The kidneys usually remove uric acid from the blood so that it is excreted during urination. However for some reason, whether your kidneys are not working properly or you just have a high production rate of uric acid, gout will occur.
Some common symptoms include swelling, inflammation, redness and pain. The most common joint for gout is the big toe though it can affect any other joints. When treating gout methods involve treating the symptoms as well as the actually cause.
Gout can come about quickly, within 12 to 24 hours of raised uric acid levels in the blood. But it can take weeks to go away. Symptoms of gout associated with gout include skin looking red or shiny, the joint feeling hot, swelling of the joint, tenderness in the joint and sever pain in the joint..
Symtoms of gout can be ameliorated by diet and lifestyle. Keeping a proper diet is a good way of handling the effects of the disease. In some cases, good diets are even more effective in overcoming gout than the actual treatment prescribed for the disease. The treatment of gout usually deals only with local inflammation and pain, and its effects are temporary. Pain episodes and inflammation are known to reoccur even under intense medication. A good diet, however, eases the symptoms of gout and also minimizes their chances of reappearing. Gout diets consist mainly of low-purine foods that don’t add to the amount of uric acid in the body. By drinking plenty of water you help the kidneys excrete the surplus of uric acid (around two liters of water each day are required).
The symtoms of gout also tend to amplify in the case of people who are overweight. Obesity is known to facilitate the accumulation of uric acid inside the body. Also, overweight people that suffer from gout are more exposed to injuries of the joints. It is very important to try losing the extra weight when suffering from gout.
The most common symptoms of gout are discomfort, sourness, swelling and intense pain of the affected area. In most patients with the disease, the first gout symptoms appear at the level of the big toe. The skin around the affected regions turns yellow, appears to be stretched and bruised. .

WHAT CAUSES GOUT
September 22nd, 2009    Subscribe To Our FeedWHAT CAUSES GOUT? here are a few things to consider:
Foods to avoid with gout are foods such as; red meat and offal, poultry, shellfish, anchovies, sardines, mackerel, herring, roe, asparagus, cauliflower, mushrooms, peas, beans, lentils, etc. And alcohol of course.
Unfortunately, for a number of reasons, the kidneys can sometimes not do this efficiently enough, so that you end up with too much uric acid in your bloodstream, leading to what causes gout.
I have not had gout myself but they tell me the pain is really horrible. It is caused by a build up of uric acid from the diet. Uric acid can affect any joint in the body but it’s renowned for affecting the big toe. Uric acid is not processed properly by the kidneys, instead it builds up in the soft tissue, forming sharp crystals that are like needles.
What is the cause of gout? And what are the symtoms? Swelling, inflammation, redness, pain, throbbing and more pain.
The actual caus of gout symptoms are uric acid crystals that have deposited themselves in you joints and tendons. These crystals are very sharp in nature and cause inflammation, swelling, redness, heat and of course unbearable pain.
One way to help to alleviate gout pain and to try to ‘manage’ your gout is to avoid food that causes gout, e.g. those foods which are high in purines. Less purines means less uric acid and a better chance for gout relief.
A quick rule for proteins, they are in general acid forming ie beef, pork, poultry, cheese, eggs then grains like wheat and rye are acid forming. Sugar is very acid forming. Alcohol is acid forming and causes dehydration so make sure you drink enough water to help the kidneys flush out compounds. Eating a lot of protein as with a high protein diet, can cause damage to the kidneys and is extremely dehydrating.
Some people are more prone than others but your diet plays an enormous role. Being overweight, drinking, eating plenty of rich meat, and foods that contain purines, along with acid forming foods and dehydration. If you are overweight (not all suffers are) do not choose a ‘high protein low carbohydrate diet’. These diets have given some people gout and for others it has made their condition much worse. How can it bring on gout or make it worse? These diets trigger ketosis, this process leads to the production of by-products, lactic acid and acetone. These chemicals complete with uric acid for expulsion from the body.
They are formed from excess uric acid in your bloodstream. Now uric acid is formed from the breakdown of chemical compounds called ‘purines’ which exist naturally in our body’s cells and in a lot of our foods. These purines have many duties to perform in our bodies, two of which are to convert our food to energy and genes to protein. So you can see that they are vital to us.
You don’t have to become a vegetarian, eat a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables to counter-balance, they are generally alkaline forming, exceptions to this rule are oranges and tomatoes, plus the purine rich asparagus, spinach and mushrooms. Least acid forming grains like millet, brown rice and quinoa.
What causes gout? is being asked more frequently as more and more people are being afflicted by gout. The causes are simple, yet complex. And they affect different people in different ways. But, aside from the actual pain, gout causes real problems in your life, e.g. you can’t get around, you can’t get to work, you can’t drive, and so on. And much more seriously, if it isn’t treated properly you could end up with permanently damaged joints. So let’s look at what causes gout…
Now normally, when purines breakdown as a natural result of carrying out their duties, the uric acid that is formed is managed at normal healthy levels by our kidneys, excess being flushed out of our bodies via urine.
